Founded by W.O.Bentley, the first engine roared into life in 1919. This signalled the beginning, for the one of the most iconic British motor manufacturers, in terms of power, performance, luxury and craftmanship.

With pre-war success on the motor circuit it wasn’t until 1952 that Bentley created the template for grand touring with its’ R Type Continental, a vehicle which could react speeds 115mph, seat four and still have space for luggage. Over 60 years later this remains an inspiration for modern day design teams.

During remodel of the original 1960’s kitchen the island cooking station required a ventilation canopy and service distribution unit, which would complement the new catering facility. The SDU proved to be the major element of our remit having to navigate around two structural columns.
